At their meeting on Tuesday 7th February, Aberhonddu Lodge No.8588 presented a cheque for £2,000 to Brecon Mountain Rescue (BMR).
The money will be added to funds which will pay for their new headquarters with work stating this spring. A target of £1.1m was set for the project which was recently achieved, however, the fundraising work still continues to add to the project contingency and around £55,000 per year running costs.
The Junior Deacon and Brecon Mountain Rescue team member, Bro. Christopher Kerr was delighted to accept the cheque on behalf of the BMR, and thanked the Brethren for their generosity.
