On Saturday 1st July the Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Bro. D. Gerald Rowbottom was very generous with his time and travelled to Pwllmeyric near Chepstow, Monmouthshire to support W.Bro Dale Williams, his wife Tracy and the members and friends of Glamorgan Lodge No. 36 at their Summer Garden Party. The event was well attended by over 60 Brethren and their families and a good time was enjoyed by all! A live band, BBQ and refreshments all added to the fun of the occasion and the members made the most of the opportunity to get together at the WM’s first social event of his year in the Chair.
Charity being at the forefront of W.Bro’s Dale’s intentions for his year as Master of the Lodge a raffle was held and £215 was raised in favour of Stroke Association UK and the newly re-branded Asthma + Lung UK charities in memory of the late Mr Rex Williams and Mr Bert Hall. The Province of South Wales, through the PGM, was very pleased to be able to ‘top-up’ the charitable donations to a total of £500 and £250 was donated to each of the charities. What a great way to mark the start of summer recess! Thank you for your support, Brethren!
