The Freemasons Grand Charity has just given our Province £4000 to donate to the Air Ambulance Centre in Swansea. They have responded saying:
“We are so grateful for another great donation from South Wales Freemasons. As we receive no government funding and do not qualify for lottery grants we rely heavily on donations. Your support is a fine example of how brethren get together and help our charity, as part of your Freemasonry in the Community enterprise.
As well as funding life-saving missions at a cost of around £1,500 a time, we also look to new innovations in medicine and in pre-hospital emergency care. Last year we were able to purchase and put into use, new equipment such as a video laryngoscope to open up airways, baby pods to safely transport infants as well as new stretchers and a host of other lifesaving equipment. We are leading the way in the pre-hospital care field and it is only through the generosity of donations like this that it is all possible. Thanks again to all involved and we hope that you should never need the service of the Wales Air Ambulance, however your support today will ensure that we will be there if needed in the future.”
