Over 220 masons from all over South Wales, their partners and close friends of Akram attended a dinner at the Copthorne Hotel last Saturday night to celebrate the life of Joan Baig.
The evening buzzed with positive energy as all gathered enjoyed an excellent meal, live entertainment and fund raising activities for the 2021 RMBI Festival Appeal.
George Asprou presented a pictorial eulogy to celebrate Joan’s life. This was a very moving tribute and emotional roller coaster for all and no more so than for Akram, Yasmine, Amir and their close family.
The evening ended with a most unexpected and huge donation from Akram, Yasmine and Amir of £10,000 for the RMBI 2021 Festival. The cheque was received by the Provincial Grand Master Rt. W. Bro Gareth Jones, OBE and Sir Paul Williams, Chair Festival Committee who expressed their thanks and paid tributes to Akram, Yasmine and Amir for their generosity and fortitude.
