Aelwyd Chapter No. 7982, marked a historic milestone on Tuesday, September 5th, as they celebrated their 50th Anniversary at the Merthyr Tydfil Masonic Hall.
The evening was filled with joy as the chapter commemorated not only its five decades of existence but also the remarkable journey of E.Comp. Roger Budden, PPrGSN, who simultaneously celebrated 50 years as a dedicated Royal Arch Mason. E.Comp. Roger holds a special place in the Chapter’s history as its first Exaltee and currently serves as the Director of Ceremonies.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation by M.E. Grand Superintendent, D. Gerald Rowbottom, who presented E.Comp. Roger with his well-deserved 50-year certificate and a distinguished lapel pin, symbolising this momentous achievement.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, the Chapter was honoured to welcome E.Comp. J. Lyndon Howells, the 3rd Provincial Grand Principal, who graced the Chapter with his presence.
The evening was a testament to the enduring bonds and commitment of the Aelwyd Chapter No. 7982 and its members, who continue to uphold the values and traditions of Royal Arch Masonry.
