At a special meeting hosted by R.P. St. John Charles Lodge in Swansea on the 16th April 2015, the Provincial Grand Master, and 2021 Festival President, R.W.Bro. Gareth Jones, OBE invited the South Wales Province 2021 Festival Chairman, W.Bro Sir Paul Williams OBE, DL, KStJ, JGD to present an update on the Festival progress.
It was announced:
- As at 31st March 2015, £65,000 had been transferred from Lodge Relief Chests to the Festival Relief Chest
- A further £360,000 is in the ‘Green Transfer Form’ pipeline
- There have been 70 single donations of over £100 made to the Festival Relief Chest
- Approaching 400 new RPPs have been made, which will yield £300,000+
- 600 Brethren have now qualified for the Festival Jewel
- Wenvoe Lodge have reached a Bronze Award
- Harlequins Lodge have reached a Silver Award
- Fidelity Lodge have reached a Gold Award, with many more about to reach their first awards as funds are transferred into the Festival Relief Chest
- As of 31st March 2015 we have £780,000 forecast in the Festival Fund
After thanking Sir Paul, the Provincial Grand Master was pleased to present 23 Festival Jewels to Brethren of R.P. St. John Charles Lodge.
