On Sunday 9th July, Llantwit Major Lodge No. 9241 held a Summer Garden Party in aid of Velindre Cancer Center. The event took place at W.Bro Michael Thomas’s house and gardens in Rhoose and was well supported by family and friends of the lodge. Everyone enjoyed an afternoon in the sunshine with good food, drink and live musical entertainment that went on into the evening. The total amount raised for the charity was £2,180 making the day a resounding success which exceeded all the expectations of the lodge. Llantwit Major Lodge would like to extend their sincere thanks to all who contributed their help on the day and the 200, or so, who attended.
