On Thursday April 4th 2024, Loyal Cambrian Lodge No. 110 held a remarkable event at Merthyr Masonic Hall diverging from their typical Masonic meeting. Instead, they hosted a blue table evening aimed at engaging potential Freemasons and providing them with an insightful glimpse into the realms of Freemasonry.
The evening commenced with the opening of the Lodge, swiftly followed by “calling off” to welcome prospective Freemasons into the temple.
PProvGM, R.W.Bro Capt. Sir Norman Lloyd Edwards delivered an engaging talk on Freemasonry, emphasising the joy, camaraderie, and meaningful community work carried out by Freemasons.
W.Bro. Neil Martin Evans introduced the Lodge officers, providing a brief overview of their respective roles within the Lodge. This served to familiarise the attendees with the structure and dynamics of the organisation.
The temple’s furnishings, officers and ambience captivated over 10 potential candidates, who posed numerous questions about Freemasonry, reflecting their keen interest and curiosity.
The festive board, attended by over 70 brethren including Lodge members and visitors, provided an opportunity for potential candidates to interact with current members in a convivial atmosphere. The evening was without doubt a resounding success, marked by enthusiastic engagement, meaningful discussions and a sense of camaraderie among all present.
