On Saturday, 22nd June 2024, W.Bro. Robert Lewis was proudly Proclaimed as the Worshipful Master of Aelwyd Lodge No. 7982 for a second consecutive year. The ceremony was overseen by AProvGM, W.Bro. Dr. Akram Baig, who, along with his Provincial escort, ensured the proceedings were conducted with aplomb.
During the festive board, AProvGM, W.Bro. Dr. Akram Baig provided valuable insights into the upcoming Tercentenary celebrations for 2027. He announced that Local Area Chairs and Vice Chairs have been selected, along with Liaison Officers who will play a crucial role in organising the celebratory events. The evening was a perfect demonstration of the support and brotherhood enjoyed in the North of the Province.
A wonderful turnout coupled with timeless tradition, Aelwyd Lodge clearly has its roots within the Merthyr Tydfil Community, a vibrant Lodge that is attracting young members.
