The pipe organ at Cardiff Masonic Hall is 100 years old and in need of extensive refurbishment. Such projects cost a lot of money. We have been able to acquire the digital organ heard by many Freemasons at the Barry Memorial Hall each year for the annual investiture. This came on the market recently and is ideally suited. The hardest part was hoisting it over the balcony.
This is now done and the Duke of Connaught Temple has impressive resources for the future. The next task is to raise money to cover the cost of acquiring this modern instrument and to enable us to return the pipe organ to its original condition.
