Play Radnor receives £15,000 grant from South Wales Masons

Play Radnor is a local registered charity based at The Play Hub, Temple Street, Llandrindod Wells and provides leisure, play, and developmental activities for disadvantaged children and their families in Powys.

Their aim is to enhance the development and well-being of children and young people by providing quality play provision and raising the awareness of the importance of play. They offer a wide range of services such as an activity club for children with disabilities, a holiday hunger programme, breastfeeding support group and a toy library.

Due to the lack of accessible local services and facilities such as childcare and public transport, many families have to travel great distances to access the charity’s programmes. Last year Play Radnor supported 904 individuals from 528 families.

The grant received from the South Wales Freemasons for £15,000 will enable the charity to provide support and assistance to those families who need it most.
