The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master for and Most Excellent Grand Superintendent in and over South Wales held a luncheon at Swansea Masonic Hall prior to the Service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance at St. Gabriel’s Church, Swansea on Sunday, 2nd October 2022.
It was a special occasion to celebrate the lives of over 350 Brethren and Companions who have passed to the Grand Lodge above since our last service in May 2019 and remember lost loved ones. In addition we celebrated all the work that was carried out during the pandemic and gave thanks that we are once again able to meet in our Lodges and Chapters.
The Provincial Grand Chaplain, WBro. The Rev. Anthony Stevens, welcomed all. The service of Thanksgiving was led by The Provincial Deputy Grand Chaplain, WBro. The Ven. Roger Hughes, which included three readings from WBro. Peter Jones, EComp. C. Hugh Thomas and RWBro. D. Gerald Rowbottom. Prayers of Thanksgiving and Intercession were led by brethren of the South Wales Clerics Lodge. The address was offered by WBro. The Rev. Anthony Stevens and the Closing Prayer, Blessing and Dismissal was given by WBro. The Rev. Cannon D. Huw Mosford, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Deputy Grand Chaplain.
We were delighted to see so many Brethren, Companions and their families from across the whole of the South Wales Province in attendance sharing each others company.
