Provincial Grand Charity Steward – W.Bro. Paul Bunyan

Recently appointed as Provincial Grand Charity Steward for both Craft and Royal Arch within the Province of South Wales.

In craft he was initiated a Lewis into R.P. St. John Charles Lodge No. 6466 Swansea on 19th October 1995 and installed as Worshipful Master by his father the late W. Bro J. Colin Bunyan in 2004 & 2015.

A founder member of the Welsh Installed Masters Lodge No. 9857 (London), Albert Edward Court Lodge of Research No. 9908 and St. John of Jerusalem Lodge No. 10024 where he is currently their Worshipful Master. He is also a member of The Lord Swansea Lodge No. 8364, Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge No. 8900, Lodge of Benevolence No. 7305 and Hendre Lodge No. 3250.

In Provincial Grand Lodge he was appointed Provincial Grand Steward in 2010, promoted to Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies in 2013 and Past Provincial Grand Registrar in 2017.

In the United Grand Lodge of England, he has been honoured with the appointment to Past Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies in 2022.

In Royal Arch he was Exalted into R.P. St. John Charles Chapter No. 6466 on 23rd September 1998 and installed as 1st Principal in 2009 where he is currently Scribe Ezra since 2019.

A founder member of The Lord Swansea Chapter No. 8364.

In Provincial Grand Chapter he was appointed Provincial Grand Standard Bearer in 2012, promoted to Past Provincial Grand Sojourner in 2015 and Past Provincial Grand Sword Bearer in 2019.

He is also a member of Mark Master Masons, Royal Ark Mariners, Rose Croix, Knights Templar, Royal and Select Masters, Secret Monitor and Red Cross of Constantine some of which he has been through the respective chair and also been honoured with Provincial Active Rank.

On a personal level he is a family man with a wife and three children, all boys. One of his highlights was initiating his eldest son into the R.P. St John Charles Lodge No. 6466 in December 2021.

A degree educated electrical engineer since 1996 he recently resigned as the chair of Wales for the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board a post he held for 10 years. He is the Chief Executive Officer of a family Electrical and Instrumentation business named C&P Group Holdings Ltd which consists of C&P Engineering Services Ltd, C&P Training Services Ltd and C&P Control Panel Ltd who work nationally and internationally for a variety of blue-chip organisations.

During the past 16 years he has been involved in both the 2010 and 2021 Masonic festivals and their respective charities and now with the assistance of the members of the Province of South Wales he wishes to build upon past successes and strive for new achievements in his new role.
