Taking on the Lead for Training in the Province

Dear Brethren,

I greet you all well and I am currently putting together the Provincial training timetable for the ensuing year, and in an attempt to utilise the talents and skills of (and for) all our Brethren, I wish to ask for your help.

As we are all aware, training is a very important part of any organisation and Freemasonry is of course no different. We must be able to provide the best possible support for our Brethren, be they Masters Elect, Directors of Ceremony, Mentors or indeed any other Officer of the Lodge. Those Brethren who are about to take on the responsibilities of the main Administrative roles in Lodge such as Secretary, Treasurer, Almoner and Charity Steward will encounter all kinds of situations where some support will be welcomed. This support is also often needed by Brethren who have experience of these important offices but might be glad of some updated information, particularly in the light of the many advances in technology. Opportunity for local in-house sessions with a designated Lead in one field or another will no doubt be of great value for many of our Officers.

The best training is delivered by Brethren who have a desire to help. In order to offer a first class training programme to our Brethren, I invite any Brother who feels this project is worthwhile to please make contact with me, for further information and to discuss how and where we can all help our Fraternity. Some people will be able to deliver face to face instruction sessions whilst others might feel more comfortable working in the background, preparing notes and engaging in research. The Internet is a great tool and we need the help of those who are familiar with using this medium so that we can expand our help to a much wider audience.

If this idea is of interest to you, please contact me on: training@nullsouthwalesmason.com so that I can offer more specific information to suit your personal skills. Any help for improving the efficiency of our Masonic activities and for helping those who work hard in our Lodges will be appreciated.

Yours sincerely and fraternally,
Christopher Davies, PPrJGW
