Visit the Albert Edward, Prince of Wales Court website here.
The Association of the Friends of the Albert Edward, Prince of Wales Court, Porthcawl was formed in 1974 under the patronage of the Provincial Grand Masters of the Provinces of South Wales, West Wales & Monmouth, the primary aims and objectives are to raise funds to provide a variety of amenities for the residents of Albert Edward Prince of Wales Court Porthcawl as well as organising visits of social entertainment and purposes to places of interest.
The friends are also committed to providing transport for the residents in the form of an Ambulance / Minibus and a car so that they can attend a health appointment or just for recreational purposes, such as visits to the seafront.
At present, there are 72 residents looked after by 109 members of staff at the residential Home for the elderly and / or infirm which is owned and operated by the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution, one of Freemasonry’s four central Charities in England & Wales.
We would therefore appeal that each Lodge makes an annual donation of between £50.00 – £100.00 to the Association of Friends, and at present, that every brother pays a one-off Donation of £10.00 to become a Life Member of the Friends.
