After two years of walking the entire coast of mainland Britain, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the thousands of Freemasons who have supported me, shown incredible kindness, and welcomed me as I passed through their Provinces.
This journey has taken me nearly 6,500 miles through 44 Provinces across England, Wales, and Scotland. Along the way, I’ve spent almost 500 nights wild camping and visited over 300 Masonic Centres on the coast. It has been a life-changing experience, and I could never have done it without the unwavering support of so many wonderful Freemasons.
My challenge has been more than just a physical and mental test—it has been a mission to give back. To date, I have raised just over £75,000, including Gift Aid, for the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF). My goal is to reach £100,000, repaying the MCF for the crucial support I received from its Mental Health Support Programme—help that, quite simply, saved my life.
Throughout my journey, I have received many generous donations, but some of the most touching came from seven young children who each gave £1, believing their small contribution could make a difference. Now, I ask you—could every Freemason in UGLE match their generosity?
For just £1, you can help me reach my target and ensure the MCF continues its invaluable work. If you choose to donate, please leave a message letting me know where we met during the walk. Additionally, if you would be interested in me visiting your Lodge to share my story, I would love to do so—this time, I won’t be walking there!
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to click the Gift Aid box, allowing each £1 donation to grow by 25p at no extra cost to you.
