
W.Bro. Thomas Anthony Hilliard has reached a remarkable milestone, marking 50 years of dedicated and loyal service to Freemasonry.
His distinguished Masonic journey began on the 28th of February 1975 at Porthkerry Lodge No. 6299, Barry. Ever committed to the Craft, W.Bro. Anthony went on to become a Founder Member of Llantwit Major Lodge No. 9241 on the 16th of October 1987, where he was Installed as Worshipful Master in 1991.
His leadership and passion for Freemasonry continued when, on the 21st of June 1993, he became a Founder Member of Yr Efail Lodge No. 9502, Cowbridge, serving with dedication as Worshipful Master in 2013. In recognition of his service, he was conferred with Honorary Membership of Yr Efail Lodge on the 2nd of September 2019. W.Bro. Anthony also became a joining member of Hendre Lodge No. 3250 on the 24th of January 2002, further extending his commitment across the Province.
W.Bro. Anthony’s contributions have been deservedly recognised by Provincial Grand Lodge, beginning with his appointment as Past Provincial Junior Grand Deacon in 1997. He was subsequently promoted to Past Provincial Grand Superintendent of Works in 2006, Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden in 2018, and most recently, Past Provincial Senior Grand Warden in 2023.
In addition to his Craft achievements, W.Bro. Anthony is a highly dedicated Royal Arch Mason, celebrating 48 years of service to the Holy Royal Arch this year.
W.Bro. Anthony is well respected by all who know him, he is ever ready to offer guidance, support, and a listening ear. His wise counsel and calm presence have been a source of strength and inspiration to many Brethren over the years.
